Default Cusco front lower 4 point brace

who is interested?

I have had a mail from Greenline and they can do these delivered to your door for £127 for one, however, if we can get more than 10 people interested they will do a better deal, heres the mail I got back from them. I do not know the more than 10 price, but I have mailed Jason the link to this thread.

I sent them this

Could you tell me what the shipping is on the above (Cusco front lower 4 point brace) for x1, x5 and x10 units, Could you give discount on 5 or 10? would there be import duty to pay on these when they come into the UK? I have never ordered overseas before so am not familiar with the cost/dutys. I was looking at getting a group buy going for the local subaru club, any advice or help would be grateful.

They sent me this

Hi Bryan,

Thanks for your enquiry. If you could let us know what car/model the brace is for we may be able to assist you further. Shipping weight is approximately 5 kg each.
Discount is available for 10+ units. Final cost is dependent on how you want us to ship (in as few loads as possible or to the participants individually). We have no problems with shipping to individual particpants of the group buy if neccesary.
Our service includes only the products and shipping costs. Packages may be subject to tax and/or duty upon entry to the destination country.
Greenline Motorsports are not tax agents and because we deal internationally, it is not possible for us to know the import tax systems for every country in the world.
Although not a guarantee, we have found that small items of low value are not generally inspected and pass through without the need to pay duties or tax. We do what we can to minimise the tax that needs to be paid in the case where the package is inspected in Japan before the package is shipped. Supplementary documentation can be supplied if required. We advise that you contact the local customs authority if you require further information on importing into the UK.
Please let us know if you require further information or assistance.
Kind regards,

Jason
Greenline Motorsports
http://www.greenline.jp

I then sent the models MY94-00 and the final mail was this

Pricing information as requested:
CUSCO Lower Arm Bar Version II Front GC8: 14,726 yen
Shipping: 9,500 yen
TOTAL: 24,226 yen
Final total will most probably slightly differ depending on payment method.
Please let us know if you have further questions.
Regards,
Jason

So who is interested?

Add your name to the list

Hi.

I'm interested in getting one of these, plus some other Cusco parts. There's already a potencial group buy from Greenline, why not team up to try and get a better discount?

Check it out: http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=396734

Cheers,

Paulo

They normally ask for paypal and then add 4% on mate.

There is a new 4point brace out which is meant to be better than cusco. Its called GT Spec. There has been some mad group buys on other forums of GT Spec goodies so there are a couple of dealers you could try.

Im getting a Gt Spec 4point brace for mine. As i said if its cheaper, and better, then could help your group buy.

Im not looking to take over mate, will just email you the dealer to email/contact

Scoobyclinic is going to sell them

According to GT spec's site they retail for around £79 before applicable shipping and taxes. The Cusco version retails for £69 so unless RB or scoobyclinic could beat that? I find it quite funny the colour GT-Spec have chosen for their products.

As Paulo says, might be better to pull both group buys together, save some energy! Since I'm unemployed it's not as if I don't have any spare time!

Hi spartan,

I didn't see your original post when I posted, let's pull both GP's together the more people we get on one thread the better.

Bigger discount maybe

The price is $161 per their site mate. Which if you divide by 1.7 (the current exchange rate the bank transfers over) it works out around £94.70. Then you get stung for around £25-£35 to transfer the money and you also get shafted for import costs, vat and shipping. And nope there is no way to involve it as the shipping company GT Spec use, goods arent marked down and they get charged at the costs. Thats why UK retail will be around £140-£150 like Ads said.

I wanted one of these anyway, just waiting for Scoobyclinic to get their order in.

Been looking at getting some Whiteline bits, through the group buy, from Demon Tweaks. Just so happens that Whiteline does a 4 point and 2 point front lower brace, for 'race use only'. I've mailed Whiteline for an explanation of why and phoned D/T today. 68 odd squid.

If you take a look at 911s thread in projects, he has a rather nice pic of it fitted about halfway through. What do you think?

I'll probably order mine in the morning.

Cheers

Hi,
Had a reply from Whiteline, Peter Atkinson, peter@whiteline.com.au

"We have both a four and two point front lower brace. They are suggested for Race applications only because of the reduced ground clearance - check with your vehicle registration authority."

Ordered mine from D/T £68 +VAT through the group buy.

fwiw- the Gtspec one seems rather nice
According to SpecialX I have the first classic one in the uk
well; certainly feels different- much more planted and fab on really fast long sweeping bends (had a play in the peaks today)
