Default Front Mount Alloy Intercooler GB??

I have contacted a company in the US and they can supply large alloy front mount intercoolers for £275 delivered to your door, this includes shipping both from US to Uk, Import Tax, VAT and Post Office fee.

The intercooler is suitable for 30psi and upto 600 BHP car.

Anyone interested?

I have pictures if there is interest.

I've been thinking of going down the F/M route? Who would be able to do the pipework for it?

Im up for this too, provided all the pipe work can be supplied and not too much cutting is required.

Pics please! I've been considering this for a while and the price looks good. Not bothered about pipes - they probably wouldn't fit my car...

Question

Very very interested. Is it specific to a scooby or just a universal fit FMIC? Are pipes available? Will it fit a MY97 classic?

Regards

erm... would this really fit an Impreza properly? looks a smidge odd, lol. if this is for the bugeye then does it need any cutting or anything to fit? include the pipework and things?? cheers

IMHO, it looks a bit small compared to the Hyperflow & APS units.

Questions to ask....

1. Whats the cross sectional area? (compare it to your top mount or an STi8 top mount)
2. Whats the pressure drop across it?
3. No pipework? You only need to look at an APS Intercooler and associated pipework / joining hoses to see how much work (read money involved)there is in that missing part.
4. Classics would struggle to fit that without bumper bar mods???
5. Whats the flow across it rated at?

Hope this helps.....

Conrad - I agree... It does look a little on the small side - unless the pipe stubs are 4" diameter... Maybe I'd better stick to plan A, the Pace or Forge intercooler matrix with my own end tanks (knowing someone local with a TIG welder helps )

Pipework was never going to be a selling point for me - front entry manifold and clocked TD05 make for junking at least 50% of the pipework anyway - it may as well be right by design rather than a shoehorn job.

It does look like it'll be a struggle to fit this on a classic. I suppose whatever happens, mine will be a PITA...
