LATEST UPDATE

We now have 10 people interested in the group buy.
I have contacted motorguard to see if they will drop the price further for 15+ etc.
Unfortunately, they will not go any lower, but if more people want to take part in the group buy, they will honour the £125 price.

1. Richard Askew
2. Frenchy
3. Greg.g
4. Mr x (wishes to remain anonymous)
5. Monkey Boy
6. Farls(paul)
7. Houghton
8. Jay 1
9. Mr "Y" (wishes to remain anonymous)
10. Blue haze

To take part call motorguard on 0121 359 1617 and tell them that you are part of gregs blackjax group buy. You will need to pay a small deposit.
Once 10 deposits have been received, you are free to set a date to get the blackjax fitted.
If you could e mail me, or make a note on this thread once you have paid the deposit, it would be appreciated.

I hope this arrangement is ok with all of you.

Thanks

Greg

In case any of you guys aren't familiar with Motorguard, I can highly recommend them.

I drove up to Brum from London just for the Blackjax on a recommendation and having run the system for a couple of years I would not hesitate to recommend these guys.

The after sales care is second to none, and that's very important when you're stranded with a car that won't allow you to drive away, for one reason or another.

Money

If you want to join this group buy thats fine.
I am sure that motorguard will hounour this price if you put your name down and pay the deposit. Then you could have it fitted in a month or so, when it suits you

The more, the merrier

Hi,

I'm interested in getting the BlackJax but I have a quick question. On a thread a good deal of time ago someone mentioned the blackjax does not automatically slow the down gradually and safely when fitted to a turbo car. I don't know if this is true, or I got the wrong end of the stick. Can anyone confirm if this is true or false.

Thanks!!

Good point! lol

Got to speak to a few other guys first as they are interested in about a month. Ill see if they want to pay the deposit now and just book in a month, or wait

but whatever the outcome, i will be purchasing it from Motorguard

mplaczek

I beleive that blackjax does not activate until the speed/revs drop beneath a pre set level. Then there is an audible warning beep until the engine is immobolised x number of seconds down the road.
If you are worried about potential damage to a spinning turbo when the engine immobolised, this should not be an issue because of the pre set rev limit.
I would tend to be more worried about what damage could be done to your car if the scumbag gets clean away.

Car jackings and house break-ins are becoming alot more common these days.
Blackjax is just another tool for us to use to help us protect our property.

Remember, your cat1 alarm is useless if the scumbag has your car keys

Wink

Thanks for the reply greg.g

That has cleared that up a lot. Blackjax was always something I thought I should invest in, but the thread I remember reading (a group buy from a long time ago I think) made it sound like installation was not possible on a turbo car.

Now that I have all the facts you can count me in!
I'll give Motorguard a ring when I get a chance to sort the deposit

Ok,
Deposit is paid!!
Motorguard say 8 deposits have been paid so far.

Just to let people know there are two different types being offered.
The blackjax (requiring a pin number) and a second one that is a little easier and requires only the push of a hidden button. Otherwise both are identical.
