Default Origin b2

Hi guys,
With all the threads about speed camera detectors/laser jammers etc. I'm just sussing out if there would be any interest in a group buy for the Origin b2 and/or LRC 100 Laser diffuser.

Origin b2
1-5 £341
6-10 £335
11+ £325

LRC 100
£265

Disclaimer: Alpha Telecom will not be held responsible for how the LRC100 is used. This product has now been amended on our website and is shown as a remote garage door opener.

A cable is required to integrate the b2 and LRC100 and these will be £14.79

All prices include VAT and P&P and are based on paying cash/cheque/debit card. The price will be slightly higher for anyone wishing to pay by credit card.

Further info can be found on our website www.alpha-telecom.co.uk

Regards

Jason

Righty ho then, where shall I start?!!
After a discussion with my solicitor this mornining it would seem the LRC 100 is not a good idea for me to sell or you to buy!

Getting caught using one could leave you open to being charged with "obstructing the police in the course of their duty"
I could also be charged with "attempting to assist a person in obstructing the police in the course of their duty"
Having said that, you can also be charged with the above for flashing your headlights to warn oncoming traffic of a police presence.

After the conversation I pondered his answers and decided to ring the UK supplier of the LRC100. They got their legal representative to call me back and they have a completely different take on it.

They are legal to buy, legal to sell. They are legal to fit to your vehicle. The police are unlikely to prosecute you for using one unless you seriously take the **** ( I didn't realise this was a legal phrase!!) as per a case in Wales where somebody kept speeding past a camera van, the police couldn't get a reading so they pulled him over to investigate.
The DoT don't want people advertising them as laser diffusers but will accept advertising it as a garage door opener with the side effect of disrupting laser guns.

I suppose the upshot is BE CAREFUL! I will happily sell a "Garage door opener" to anyone who wishes to purchase one on the understanding I have no responsibility for what you do with it!!

If the unit is well fitted, ie hidden, then it is unlikely the police would spot it as you drove past and wouldn't have time to give chase and pull your vehicle apart to find it.

I hope this helps because to me it still seems a very grey area and no doubt the law will be changed at some point to make the use of these illegal if they intefere with police guns and the manufacturer will have to amend future garge door opening mechanisms.

Adam, cheapest I found was £274.99 + £8.95 P&P.
I'll do them at £265 all in regardless of quantity.

Ok, seeing as the LRC100 is at a set price these can be shipped whenever you are all ready.
PM me your contact numbers and I will call you and take payment details etc. It is likely to be Saturday before I am back in the office but I will ring you first thing and get them shipped out before lunch so you should have them by Monday/Tuesday depending on the mail.

Can the garage door opener be linked to a road angel or does it operate as a totally seperate system.

Hi Matt, glad you're happy! Maybe I should do group buy on garage doors!!
Tyre was a bargain- £99 fitted, valved and balanced. Still sick that I had to buy a new one though.

For Nationwide fitting we use Unicar, it should be about £60. The number is 01132 021000. We have a technician for local fitting but that's not really much use to you!!
