Due to the popularity of the last group buy for a front mount intercooler, a second group buy is being organised. Price is 708$ for a polished intercooler and 608$ unpolished. This represents really good value however please note that fitting requires a fair bit of work and modification so if you are carrying the installation out yourself you need to be prepared for this.
Refer to the thread in drivetrain about our experiences on the previous group buy.
We need a minimum of ten participants with the buy closing soon after that number is reached.
Payment will be needed between 12th and 18th February.
If you want to participate please put your name below.

$608 US or HK dollars?? Lol, HK would be nice!

Exchange rate (and therefore value) is excellent right now, but this doesn't fit in with other plans for me.

I'm definately in.... come on guys. We should be able to meet 10 surely.

Harvey... your efforts are very much apprecaited.

Not sure if i should go unpolished or not, i'll wait till i see some pics of the unpolished one.

At today's exchange rate the costs (with delivery to the door but not duty etc):

Polished is £390

Unpolished is £335

Bargain!!!

OK guys. Copy and paste and add your name along with Polished or unpolished and we will get the show on the road.
Also note that Dellboy has been fitting his FMIC and it seems I have made the job harder for myself than necessary. Did not have instructions .....that is my excuse.

1. Tone Loc (unpolished)
2. Hacmeister (unpolished)
3. Mika (?)
4. AndrewC (?)
5. Iain Atkins (?)

So potentially we have 5 at the moment, but obviously the bottom 3 have yet to confirm (stuck your names down just incase ).

Harvey... you not having another are you?

How much roughly is an unpolished kit delivered to the door after duty etc..
Was thinking of getting a newer car but think i may just go down the tuning route a bit more with mine.

Funds i would say about mid Feb, Harvey would have to confirm this tho. With reagrds to costs, at present exchange rates they are £335 delivered to your door. You may not get hit for duty etc but if you do i would expect £80 to £90.

Sorry if that reply sounded a bit snotty, not intended to, just statement of fact

I may be interested in the group buy, but I want to know how this setup performs before committing myself.

AndrewC, thinking of this myself, at those prices you cant argue. Sod the Evo, too many running costs.

I'm just waiting to hear how Delboy gets on with his FMIC, with regards to extra lag / driving lights etc.

If all is well then consider me in

Cheers

No worries Andrew... i didn't take it as being snotty .

I'm a bit worried myself about the driving lights... Cibies for me tho and i don't want to sell them . According to Mr Chan the Lights can stay tho. Time will tell iguess.

Looking at Harvey's photos and the ones in the fitting PDF I notice that both these cars are Jap Spec with the small washer bottle, UK cars have a much larger bottle without a sloping front which the FMIC return pipe seems to sit over (after just missing the battery +ve terminal).

Does anyone know if the pipework is OK with a UK washer bottle or will it will need changing / pipework mangling.

Andrew...

Andrew, i realise the need for further mapping but with added 550's and TD05/06 Hybrid turbo then it'll be worth it, if my engine holds together. Of course this is just an idea but after some more reading then it may become reality.

Here's one:

The pipe from the turbo to the innner wing is not polished and it seems that the silicon pipes supplied are blue.
