Default Rocker cover

Hi guys, it's time to get my car out of the garage and put back on the road and I just need a little advise on a couple of things.

My car is a 03 sti the only mods are afterburner rear box, and I believe a remap no paper work to prove it but it does peak at 19-20psi, so I'm told it has definitely had some sort of remap, everything else on the car is standard.

I need to replace the NS rocker cover gasket and wanted to know the best place to get this from and what is the best sealant as I know they recommend using some in certain places, also I am going to do the spark plugs at the same time and wondered which grade I need.

Any advise greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Duncan

3 bond is the best sealant (1215) you can get that off e bay or a google search.

Rocket cover gasket best place is probably import car parts, the fakes on ebay are a not as good in comparison.

Half moons should be replaced also.

Be careful to not over tighten any of the 10mm bolts holding the rocker cover, snap one of those and it is engine out. My torque wrench wouldn't fit in the tiny gap so had to just do it tight as I dared.

No idea on the plugs, I always fit NGK 7's as that is generally for modified use.

Hi Thanks for this I remember looking at that website last year, I could not remember what it was called.

I think I will go for NGK 7s. Also do you know the exact torque setting for the 10mm bolts, i have a nice small torque wrench that should fit lovely.

Thanks
