Bit vague this.
Just got home after a long run and noticed steam coming from under the bonnet.

Theres a definate water leak although it seems quite minor at the minute. The engine looks like something from the bloody enterprise to me and i dont even have a workshop manual.
The leak is roughly in the centre of the engine, under the bit at the top (sorry) making it a bitch to get at.
Do i have a go myself or get butt - cked at my not so local dealer?

95wrx by the way.

The plastic coolant bottle bolted to the inlet manifold also has a tendancy to fall apart on the early cars. Its made ov a very brittle plastic which gets soft and breaks through age...just like the radiator header tanks.

Been there done that. It was rather embarressing for me at first when it happened. You know what the worse thing was? You can't patch it up temporarily like any other normal car. Had to get myself a hose from the scrappy...

edit ~ I aslo had problems with the plastic header tank when I first got the car. Managed to source out an alloy one and modified it for my car.
