turbo 2000 snatchy off throttle
Had my 99 turbo a few months now and slowly sorting the niggles out.
The one niggle i cant work out is the snatchiness when easing back the throttle, can be a bit frustrating when pushing on hard and trying to balance the throttle through fast corners etc.
The car has had this issue since ive owned it.
It came with full R Clarke de cat stainless system
H&R green cone filter
Forge recirulating Dump valve
Standard ecu (assume un-molested) but who knows.
Since then
I have put the original air box back in
Changed the ecu and y pipe for prodrive items
The snatchy feeling is when you lift off slightly, and it feels like you have lifted off completely, sometimes enough to jerk you forwards, and you can hear the D/V woosh when it does this.
Cheers
Mart.

Maybe there is a broken spring in the DV?
ps I know F-all about these things, but it seems the operation of you DV is taking place too easily and as it runs off vacuum in the intake, this seems a logical and easy place to take a look?

Thanks, but its not the throttle cable,
TPs, is that throttle position sensor ?
Broken spring in dump valve sounds possible, it seems a bit keen to 'dump' ill check that.

Took off the Forge valve and compared it to a oe one ive just got hold of, the forge one has a much harder spring in it and requires more vacuum pressure to open it.
So i wasn't expecting the oe one to solve the problem, but it has
One observation was that the oe one had a much smoother and positive action than the forge so maybe this helps the valve to dump the pressure less suddenly ?
Either way its done the job, so now all the aftermarket bolt on bits are gone (exept exhaust) and its never ran so well.
What does that tell you..
