My 2001 bug eye engine has a very nasty nocking noise from the bottom end so I am looking for a new engine. My engine code is ej205 and I am just wondering which engines will fit my car?

Think most engines will fit as long as you used your original cylinder heads, I.e sti v7, v8 short blocks. Maybe someone with Abit more knowledge can shed some more light

 

So it wasnt just a loose spark plug then

imo id also check its not the cam belt tensioner as when they go it sounds just like bottom end knock

i take it you are not driving the car now kev? i would offer to come and have a look but dont know when i could over that way.

Hi guys it was the spark plug done about 200 miles too bed in the clutch and then I decided to give it a a bit and now it is knocking but this is not the some as before it is not all the time it is when you rev it it comes and then when you take your foot off it stays knocking for about 30 seconds then goes
