Turbo Advice
Hi could anyone give me advice on what would be a good turbo upgrade,I have a 98,V5 STI,it's got a new age TMIC and equal length headers, apart from that it's standard,I have a set of direct fit 550cc injectors and a 255l fuel pump to go on.
What would be the best turbo for me,would like round th 380/400bhp mark with a quick pick up rather than top end.
And I will be running stock internals. I know about gear box failure at that end of bhp but I'm not racing or dragging th car.q
Any help very welcome

380-400hp A td05-20G would be a pretty good turbo for your goals.
Im running a billet 20G and love it. Full boost by around 4000rpm on a 2L and pulls hard for ever!

How much money do you have for a turbo upgrade once you know that it will be easier to suggest a charger for you,but the ones that have been mentioned already like the TD05 20G will do you fine and there not to expensive to pick up,just beware of eBay specials and get a turbo from a reputable seller or at least know where your source is coming from.SJ.

Spot on guys, yes my mind was set on a good 20g,but reading something the other day, somebody said they were a bit laggy on th EJ20,if it's crazy pull down low then that's what I'm after, not fussed at all for top end power these days.
Are you guys running stock internals?
