Default Help with engine

Ok after loads problems with my ej20 engine over heating I have removed it tonight and now on the look for best replace meant, been looking at ej20 closed block putting forged pistons & rods with uprated headgasket looking to run 450bhp or is there engine that can do it on stock internals

I have looked online for information with a lot of opinions but what do you guys think

Thanks

Not a chance. £6k minimum.
Only other option a 2nd lump. But these usually go for 2-3k. May be just go with a used wrx lump for £500 or so.

I can charge more Most of my builds are all brand new but that leaves me with alot of second hand parts, the majority go to the scrap man but theres some parts that are well worth keeping. So, if someone needs decent engine putting together on a budget I'm happy to do so. Everything will be checked for tolerance, cleaned and assembled with new bearing, rings, seals etc.
Nothing wrong with a bit of recylcling

That's a very good policy, what do you charge to bolt a bottom end together, I have some spare forged parts and a block sat in the garage but don't have time to do it, so i'd sooner get them put together and sell as a built bottom end as opposed to flogging them for peanuts.

+1 for WMS racing from me. Andy is very helpful and patient. When I bought the wrong pistons for my build I was panicking I'd have to start again but Andy came up with a solution and resolved it for me.
