2.5 type R idle issue/cutting out
Hi all,
Having a bit of trouble with my Type R (yet again ), the car idles pretty badly and drives terribly when cold, it cuts out on first start and always requires to be started a second time. Lately the issue has got worse, and has started cutting out while driving. originally it would do this when cold, pulling up to a junction and dying, or slowing down coming up to a roundabout when the clutch was dipped. Annoying, but bearable. it was fine when it was warmed up. Any time that it did die it would start straight back up with no coughs or splutters.
Now, last night the car had a lovely little embarrassing strop when finding a parking space in Tesco's. It was well up to temperature, had been driven a while, and decided to cut out while i was turning into a "lane" of parking spaces. It then decided it wouldn't start... after turning over but not starting, it all of a sudden burst into life after a solid 10 seconds of trying.
Thinking crank sensor, any ideas? Cheers.
