Vac Hose Joints?

Looking over my Bug WRX last night and basically want to replace some of the vac hoses around the turbo with silicone piping but noticed a few joints in the pipe from the BC to the turbo.

Are these needed for any reason that anyone can think of?

I replace does with silicone tubing no problems whatsoever,only one what i left oryginal is the one going to actuator and one with restrictor pill,rest from T junction are silicone on mine.
