Default Which Phase 1/1.5 fuel rails

Hi all,

I want to put minimum 550cc injectors on my classic. I have an FMIC, fuel pump and an ECU with ESL to fit. The engine is a CDB and I am hoping for 350bhp. What's the best way of setting this up? What fuel rails, parallel fuel piping etc do people suggest.

Thanks
Mick

No sure on the phase sorry, But I start like you with ESL, Pump and a front mount.
I initially put 550's in. Maxed them out and had to buy 750's.
If you see your self adding perhaps a new turbo down the line, I would throw in some bigger injectors.
Think normally the same price for 550s or 750s.

My 2cents worth

Fuel pressure regulator for a start, and not an ebay cheap **** jobbie, as you want something reliable and accurate.
But as for fuelling, I'd suggest a CDF Racing top feed conversion rail (have one waiting to fit). This allows you to fit top feed injectors which are a LOT cheaper than side feeds esp at high cc, and this will flow better as you will replace the fuel pipes and unions.

They also sell side feed rails too.

May I also suggest a bigger fuel pump too, as extra flow is all well and good but you have to supply the flow and pressure, last thing you want is to run lean top end as your pump is no where near up to the job. You could always run a swirl pot if you want to go mad. But have a word with some of the engine builder/tuners as they can advise you what in their experience is best, as they have been there done it got the t-shirt, so will know what your spec is and how best to achieve your goal.

Cheers for the replies guys. Jimbob, I forgot to mention that I have a Walbro pump and the car is fitted with a TD05-20G.

I've just looked at CDF racing, the top feed kit is very reasonable, I'll be ordering one after crimbo,

Thanks again,

Im running a 20G and 750cc's. I would think 550 will be limiting your power level with a 20g.
Not too much harm in going a little bigger.

Hi AS Performance,

I have looked at your site for details of the phase 1 fuel rail conversions but can't find any. Could you let me have any details and cost for the full conversion please.

Thanks
Mick
