I have been looking to go down the same route myself. See here

https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...-age-tmic.html

Varying opinions (of course ) but depending on the power you have now and future plans then you go for a few options .
As I researched it, it seems the volume gain between the standard TMIC and an Sti is so little it is not worth it but the new age ones are a different matter.

New age WRX easier to fit. ( have not fitted mine yet so will update when I do) or New age Sti which is a lot more work and faffing.

Yes few opitions hence why thought i'd ask. I've heard the sti one is nearly same as standard aswell. I've been looking at newage ones, i know there deeper, so require a few mods?

Keep me updated on progress

fitting the newage one is a bit of a pain as i was thinking of going that route with my classic wagon. you need to modify the clutch fluid reservoir iirc to make it sit lower also shave a bit from the inlet and shorten the silicone joiner and knocking up modified brackets. even then a lot of guys had problems with the ic hitting the bulkhead while driving making a clunking noise all the time.

I thought just replacing the OEM hose with a silicon version offers just as much improvement as a replacement TMIC for power <350 hp.

Wrx newage is smaller than newage sti and doesnt give any issues with clutch resivoir. Done it on my old my99 classic. Thou you need bonnet scoop undertray also to make full use of greater surface area of intercooler
