Default Fuel starvation solution?

Looking for assistance on the most sensible and cost effective way of solving the issue of fuel starvation.

The issue occurs on long corners when giving it some beans. Fuel is around a quarter tank so not really low.

I'm tempted to do a few track days next year and so need to solve this issue. Can is a relatively standard v6 sti type r. Has a 255 in tank pump, standard 440s.

Trawling the net it seems the best cure is a swirl pot? First question, is this my only option?
Secondly, if I do need a swirl pot, which is the cheapest (whilst adequate) set-up to achieve this?

Finally, I have spotted this on demon tweaks...
http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/fuel-swirl-pots-collectors/sytec-fuel-swirl-pot
Would this also require seperate pump or does it fit 'in line'?

Thanks for any help

Hi there

Cost effective probably will be something like is Spec C anti surge or Hyperflow Anti surge tank with which you don't need to run external pump and fuel filter

But if you are really planning to do serious track days I would go down the route of proper Swirl pot,but probably now I would put swirl pot under the bonnet

I think Litchfield and Tim@JT Innovation selling under bonnet swirl pot with 044 fuel pump and fuel filter etc

Here is our which we are run, this has been sold

If going down the swirlpot route OBP have a good selection and are quality product.
As Jura says you will need to fit an external fuel pump and the Bosch 044 is a good choice.
If fitting in the engine bay some careful planning as to location is needed, swirlpots with ports on one side are more economical with space than the one I have which resembles a WW2 mine.

Hi Jura,
I've fitted mine in the engine bay near the turbo intake pipe. The Bosch is in the inner wing.
I see another place is on the bulkhead behind the washer bottle location.
It's wired into the fuel pump controller which is in the offside rear innerwing.

Do a search, there was a thread from a member who made his own anti surge pot,
simple, easy and cheap to try.

Hi Trev

We want to use location where is the washer bottle location, but we are ended with location at rear,I wouldn't recommend this if car is used daily, just due noise of the 044 fuel pump, but yours place should works too
