Default fmic/recirc and vacuum pipe dia info help

I,ll be fitting a hdi fmic to my 97 uk turbo shortly and would like to retain the oe recirc valve ,as im not a big fan of the D.V noise or throwing away hard earnt boost
where can I get a adapter plate from to suit my v3 ?
what length / bore pipe do I need to fit the recirc and plate ?

also when I last was tinkering under the bonnet I noticed that some of my vacuum pipes looked a bit passed their best so does anyone know what dia the vacuum pipes are on my v3, how many meters id need and best place to buy some from (in red or blue preferably)

thanks in advance

You'd charge him 50 quid for something he doesn't need?

Clive, all you need is a couple of silicone hoses to fit your OEM recirc. And it'll be a hell of a lot less than £50.

Just playing a bit Neil, the OP should actually look at his car and realise he doesn't need one.

sorry for the fuss due to my lack of research I have only started to search for options this evening and the plate was the first one I found

stooby cheers for the offer but it seems I don't need one now, if I cant find the bits of hose I need I will have one off you though

white noise thanks for taking the time to put the pics up (they look well made) and for the link to ash much appreciated as I need a few bits of pipe/hoses to remove the maff and mate up to a cone filter as well

micky your a leg end (looks like you've saved me a few quid) any idea what dia ,length and shape hose ill need to plumb the recirc in

cheers chaps for your all of your input looks like im gonna be getting quite a shopping list together now

No idea on measurements, Clive, sorry. Mine being a PH1 car, the recirc is different as is the fitment, and the measurements most likely won't be the same.

You'll have to measure the inlet/outlet on your recirc, and the outlet on your FMIC.

You'll probably need a straight reducer, and then a bit of silcone pipe and a pipe joiner. You'll have to place your FMIC pipework in the engine bay to work out what's needed though. Not fit it, just lay it on top, so you have an idea of where the take off is in relation to the OEM.

I've got a couple of reducers here that are un used, if one is a suitable size you can have it for what it cost me, they were about £9 each.

the fmic hasn't been delivered yet was hoping someone who had a v3/v4 phase 1.5 would have done the conversion and wanted to get all the bits I needed .
Had a look through my build pics of the inlet set up and I defo don't need the plate as my recirc is mounted on the inlet (rather than the tmic like the later classics) doh
I'll just have to be a bit more patient and wait until iv got the fmic pipework here lol
thanks again for everyone's help and I might chuck some pics up with a list of parts needed once iv got it fitted in the new year for future reference

Post some pics of how it is now, Clive.

It'll help people advise, mate.
