Can anyone help? I have just bought my first Impreza, an 02 WRX. It drives fine with no overheating issues or anythin but keeps losing coolant from the expansion bottle and the the filler tank on the engine. I have had a sniff test done and it came back clear so would assume head gasket ok. The level seems to drop quicker when driven hard. No obvious leaks anywhere. Soooo baffled

I feel your pain. I had a similar issue with my 95WRX which turned out to be a pin ***** hole on one of the hoses that led to the throttle body. My advice would be to test the expansion bottle cap first (seal could have gone), and once that's eliminated run the car hard and check for perished hoses (while the engine is running). If you see steam, trace it back to the hose or joint that may be faulty.

I had similar thing a while ago on my classic. Turned out to be my radiator weeping in the corner due to rust. A new radiator 'bought off eBay later' and all was hunky dory

It has just had a new rad. Its going in thursday for a system pressure check. Hopefully it will show a leak up or something. Still keep thinking its going to be something serious like head gasket tho as it is worse if you drive it hard
