air from top of radiator cap
hi im getting a hissing noise coming from the top of the radiator cap not where the seal is, its coming from under the sticker i think theres a valve there. its a classic uk 1998, ive tryed putting a new cap on and putting new coolant in and ive had the water checked for hydro's its not the head gasket. im not loosing any water and its not overheating, im not too worried about it but its starting to annoy me. it could just be i bought a faulty cap it was a pink sti one off ebay for £16. any other ideas would be appreciated cheers

It's normal for pressure to vent from there when the engine is at full operating temperature. That's the idea of the cap, it regulates the water pressure at 0.9 bar on a standard cap. I wouldn't bother with a higher pressure cap if the car didn't have one originally.
