P1410 error code
Turned my 06 WRX on last night and i got the engine warning light come on. After checking the fault code i got P1410 which apparently is the secondary air pump.
I did a search on SN and found a few threads about it and the fix of using blanking plates and mapping the codes out.
My question is, if i blank the valves and map the codes out will the mapper map them out using the stock ECU software or will it need aftermarket software like EcuTek???

Open source is bound to be able to do it, for ECUTek you'd need to ask a mapper.
Both use the original ECU so in theory anything possible via ECUTek should also be available through open source too, although I say "in theory" lest some clever clogs comes along and beats me over the head with superior knowledge

The codes can be switched off via the "open source" mapping method which uses the stock ECU software, it's a 10 min job.
It can also be done with ECUtek but unless you are already running a ECUtek software it doesn't make financial sense to use ECUtek just for turning the codes off.
