Today is a sad day as i think I've blown my turbo I was driving along and I got a horrid grinding noise and no boost then all came back then griding noise again then no boost so had to crawl home at 40 mph, with nasty grinding sound
I have taken the turbo out and looked over it no oil leaks not much play really either the turbo is a vf22
Was no smoke either I've taken the turbo to 2 mechanics for 2nd options and they both said waste gate end felt abit Grindy on the turbine
But it's not hitting the housing
I am about to buy a vf35 not sure if it will fit straight on or if i even need it I have a 98 wrx import ej20
Can some1 help please
