Default Emissions... Just can't pass the MOT

Hi

A while ago I posted these results:

Test One:

fast Idle test Limit Actual Value

CO =<0.2% 0.51%
HC =<200ppm 38ppm
Weird symbol 0.97-1.03 1.004

Test Two:

fast Idle test Limit Actual Value

CO =<0.2% 0.41%
HC =<200ppm 22ppm
Weird symbol 0.97-1.03 1.002

Natural Idle Test

CO =<0.3 0.12%

Since then, I have changed the sparks, oil, oil filter, air filter and fuel filter.
Its running really nicely, but still failing on emissions. The CO is still too high. The car is a turbo 2000 with PPP so just runs a single sports Cat.

Having now serviced it fully, do I need to accept that the Cat has gone?
It was fully up to temperature at the time of the test.

I can't think what else it could be.

Terraclean! Takes about an hour and supposed to cut the emissions to at least half of what it is!!

I only have a sport but dreading it going through an mot!

Good luck

My car has PPP and needs to be ragged mercilessly for half an hour before the MOT

Drive stinking hot straight in to friendly MOT examiner with probe at the ready, and passes every time

Yep. Made sure it was up to temperature. It was a 25 mile trip to the garage. The garage were waiting for me with the emissions test probe
Terraclean... Cuts emissions in half does it? Doubt it.. Every additive I've ever tried doesn't work.

I think replace the Lambda next...

What about adding 5litres of meth to 20 litres of petrol, meth burns with extremely low emissions, even if your not mapped for it your car will run fine, might get you through;-)

Stuff the backbox full of sound deadening for the 30mins its being tested
Or get matey doing the test to wave the wand in the air like he's conducting an orchestra
