Grinding noise on full left lock.. Any suggestions
Right I'm baffled ... Im getting a grinding noise on full lock sounds like metal on metal when I put full lock to the left, turning to the right no issues..
I have only just fitted a set of bc coilovers last week there was no issue before hand, I have had the ns wheel off today there are no scrape marks to alloys so can rule that out I, the metal plate was slight tight to disc so forced that back a cupple of mm, I checked all the nuts and bots on shock where tight and cannot see any sign of wear / metal filing...
Anyone with any suggestions please let me no, Im getting worried about this noise as is dose not sound healthy, straight line and right full lock turns no issues just full lock to the left...

Silly question , but are you sure the strut is tight , ( if you have only just replaced ) take wheel off & check for movement ....
Other than that , trial & error checking all components until you eliminate

I have only recently Adjusted ride hight all round, would this eliminate the issue ur suggesting, also I checked that all the top mounts moved freely when I installed them....
I had to wait over 1 month to find a set of bc's within that time the sub was off the road I'm just wondering if somthing has seized
Straight line driving fine, turning right fine just left on full lock

Sorry I've seen you've checked the tops , if your pretty sure it's not wheel bearing or cv , like it's been said all you can do is start again and check that everything's fitted correctly and the right way round

If a bearing has got to a grinding stage you would expect play and if a cv has gone it doesn't mean the boot will be split
Was thinking if you wind it off it might relieve the tension a little and show if there's a change in the noise to see if it is top mount or spring related

Not a fan of doing things like that , having run a garage and my brother still does
It becomes quite annoying when you could spend a long time sorting a problem and your not earning or won't be earning out of a job
Fair enough if it's a regular customer or a two Minit job

Take the big nut of the driveshaft and turn the hub, as the wheel bearing has two bearings back to back in it it is only one side that is foucked so only
makes a noise when the wheel is turned left or right

If it does it when stationary then it'll be power steering pump
If its when moving then could be a few things, check wheels aren't hitting arms or chassis first
And make sure brake lines are running where they should be
And that the driveshaft is located properly and the split pins are in the diff outputs
Pads are held in calipers....
