Default engine code 21 replace sensor still same problem anyone help

hi i have a 1994 wrx automatic just bought the car a few mounths ago and took it out a couple weeks ago and check engine light came on. the next day when i went out to start it it strugeld to start, once i finaly got it started when ever you give it throttel it would cut out. once it warms abit and you give it throttel it would pop a couple of time then rev. but once engine is hot seems to run fine. i ran the engine codes and code 21 and 23 came up. i have replaced the coolant temprature sensor (code 21) and still no change and i had a look at air flow sensor (code 23) that seem to be fine and when i disconected it from the car when it was running the car cut out. so the ecu must still be getting signals from that. not really sure where to start looking next can anyone help? also my cooling fans behind radiator on constantly now. any help would be great thanks

23 is the knock sensor I believe! Do a reset on the ECU. Worked for me before.

Sorry, I'm wrong. 23 is the MAF sensor. Anyway, reset the ECU!

You need to reset the ECU to get it back to default ignition and fuelling settings. It learns the whole time you drive it and if there's a sensor that's iffy it will compensate for it. I had a vacuum leak and a dead knock sensor. I physically fixed the parts but the car still went like a dog until I reset the ECU.

I'll try to find the link to it now and post it.
