Classic Cam and crank sensor, are they the same?

Hi I need to replace my CRANK sensor. I have a spare cam sensor and have noticed they look very similar. Its on a Classic 1999 V5 Sti.

Can I use the cam sensor to replace the crank?? Bet I carnt it would be too easy that way!?

No it wont fit - even if you take the metal shield off the outside of the cam sensor, the distance from the center of the bolt hole to the center of the sensor is different to the crank sensor.
