Default Advice on a car i might be getting. overfueling and speed sensor.

Cut a long story short, i found this car on another forum im on and his after a car i have for sale. The following is taken from his advert.

"Only problems are a speed sensor fault and an overfuelling issue I haven't got round to doing.
The car runs fine. Just drinks a lot and overfuels.
There is a Rev limiter cut at about 4k because of the speed sensor."

What would a speed sensor do, cant see it causing the overfueling would it?

Any help would be greatfully received.

I wouldn't buy it mate. 2 people have walked away from it so I'm guessing its not a cheap fix if not why wouldn't they do it? It looks a little chav'ed, I know you can tone it down but I'm first reaction would be to walk on past

Im swopping him a bettle. Factoring in recovery from essex to the midlands, it'll owe me about £1300.
Ive posted in a different section to ask if it would break for that should it all go wrong.

Dig deeper and maybe you will find some mods the ecu does not care for- Exhaust and induction mods causing a cut or old fuel pump??

As put on your other thread it sounds like a cracked coil pack to me. If it is a '94 check it has cross-hatching's on the engine block just under the alternator, this would mean the engine is a closed deck block = worth more.

He said it all started playing up after he took a manual boost controller off.
He said it runs, the gets a boost cut which brings a light on and puts it into limp mode.
Will check the coils.

Cheers

Sounds like he hasn't connected the vacuum hoses properly or else there's a leak.
