Default RB5 specs

I've got a blobeye currently, but seem to of fallen in love with the rb5
From what I have read they seem pretty standard and not a high spec though.
Can anyone tell me what extras they have. I know they run standard power 220bhp or a prodrive fiddled one at 240 I think?
Can anyone shed done light please? Thanks

Same as any other classic or newage wrx I believe. Full exhaust system and remap will get around 270-280bhp.

I thought they had the PPP so around 250bhp out the box?
Hold the value much better.

I'm considering buying 1 of these soon, I think the only real differences are better seats, prodrive spoiler, wheels and the steel grey paint. There could be more I've missed though.

For me the best looking classic too, really taken to them now and am looking for a nice WR version
Excuse my lack of knowledge on classics, but what benefit does the fixed rear bulkhead give?
Heard the wr versions have bilstein/eibach suspension and Alcon brakes too, so pretty sorted in that department from standard

Fixed rear is the same as the type r great for stiffing then chasis poor for limiting your load space

Yep WR sports are the ones to have as have a different exhaust, ECU, air filter and intercooler piping as far as i know, and 237bhp, most WR Sports also have the high level rear wing but not 100% if this was always part of the WR Sport package. Whether you could spec a stock RB5 with a PPP pack from factory i'm not sure, but would seem pointless as thats what the WR Sport basically is so guessing it was either an RB5 or an RB5 WR Sport when you placed your order.

Obviously no doubt some will have had the PPP package retrofitted, but you'll want to have proof of this. The genuine RB5 WR Sports are the only ones that will have had it from new and therefore more valuable.

Otherwise all other RB5's are 215bhp so basically a standard UK turbo motor.

I don't believe any changes to the suspension were made other than the fixed rear bulkhead, nor to the brakes, so a regular RB5 really is just a UK car with a slightly smarter interior, nice wheels and a nice colour, which always confused me when reputable magazines crowned it as one of the best handling Impreza's ever!! Marketing hype for you.

Still a nice car but i wouldnt pay over 4k even for a nice WR Sport unless its very special.
