He said fueling and temps were fine he seems to think its fmic he said to take inlet hose off and check for play on the turbo but he doesnt see it been that
Doesn't af use that deltadash mapping?
And as we all no if on rollers depends on whose etc etc was bonnet up last time is air filter not getting fed same amount of cold air etc etc
What power you at? Ie do you need fmic ? What model and year engine/ car if standard?

Reason: Added bits ;)
So how accurate do you recon road mapping readout s are?
It'll say he name on the sheet he gives you budd
I'm not saying there not acurite btw as af is the man but I'd think about that before I started to spend more cash!
How does the car drive? It will be slightly laggyer if (that's a word )

dont think it matters what the readouts are.
same car , same mapper , diff intercooler and lower power output.
clearly the fmic is the weak link ??
dont think it matters what the actual figure is,the fact that its lower than previous figure from same car and same mapper is the problem.
When the mapper said the fuelling was ok was he comparing it with previous figures obtained with the TMIC or just as a general statement when mapping with the new IC?
If he found that it needed less fuel than before then it would follow that the airflow was down and consequently, lower power result.
I use a Japspeed FMIC but mapping was done in conjunction with a bigger turbo so no before and after figures could be compared. It's accepted that the FMIC will increase lag over the TMIC but once stable will it actually FLOW as much air as the top mount? Are there any comparative figures available?
It's said that once you aim for over, say 400bhp, you should consider a FMIC and it's just to control charge temps but not increase airflow. With all else unchanged, it doesn't surprise me that you see a power drop but 25 bhp does seem rather a lot!
Ok guys took the car to have the intercooler system pressure tested its mapped for 1.5bar but it started toleak at 0.8bar not japspeed fault joiners not tightened up correctly will this be the problem

Surely the mapper would have seen this quite clearly
