Got to go for fully synth every time. I would. Why every 5k? Do you do few miles?

Subaru themselves recommend 3,750 miles intervals for oil and filter changes.
I'll be doing mine every 4k or 5k.

depends on what quality your going for
any fully synth will generally be better than the best semi

when it gets to fully synth though you can spend loads. its hard to prove whats better than others though
people all have there personal preferences

surely if you change the filter that often its not gonna work that well?
