Default Advice on better spooling

Alright folks.
Currently running 430bhp on brd t67 25g hybrid turbo (anti surge), standard ported headers with a 2.5" full decat.
Im looking for some knowledge on getting the car spooling quicker. Once im back from afgan the 2.5" system is getting replace with a 3" system. I was also looking into gt spec 3 bolt tubular headers and up pipe but ive been reading mixed reviews, some saying that it spools 300rpm later and some saying it spools 300rpm quicker.
Ive also been advised that ported turbo and wastegate would improve spool.....
Anyone plz share the knowledge not just on headers but the full matter of quicker spool.
Thanks

Where does it spool up at at the moment?

You could try replacing the up-pipe with one of Harvey's Trick ones, (now sold by AS Performance)

This will give you 300 to 500rpm improvement in spool over standard.

There are also trick 3bolt up-pipes to go with Tubular headers that do something similar.

Is Harvey's uppipe plug and play (i.e. 2 -bolt one) or do you need to change the headers too?

They are available as a 2 bolt or 3 bolt so should be able to fit on your existing headers but I have seen cheap headers where the uppipe is part of the headers.

Ive just got the standard headers ported was told that the gt spec tubular headers might make spool worse. Its coming on boost around 3500-3600rpm.
Harveys trick up-pipes could u give a link or more detail?

That boost is very high. Mine makes 400+ from an HS TD05 20g on a 2.5 litre forged engine.

At that level, Harvey gave me a choice of tubular headers or ported. I went for tubular as he had some going cheap. I also have one of his "trick" up-pipes. A LOT of design and testing went into those, trust me.

Mine pulls 1 bar at 2500rpm, and to 1.5 bar all the way to the redline.

Pulls like a bl**dy train, but is easy to drive around town.

Drop Alyn at AS Performance a PM, or better still, ring him for a chat. Great bloke, he'll see you right, just as Harve would have.

Not sure what it pulls at 1 bar would need to have a check.
What are these trick up-pipes?
Forgot to mention that its a 2l not 2.5

I run one of Harvey's up-pipe's on standard headers (not even bothered to port them, though I probably should..) with a HS TD05 20g on a 2.0 and I make 1.5 bar at circa 3600rpm (believe 1 bar comes up at 2800 odd) (6th gear pulls)
It also pulls hard right the way to the red line with no drop off in boost. (circa 385/400bhp)

The 2.5 spools a little better than the 2.0 but the above figures I Think are pretty decent.

Give Alyn a call as stated above: http://asperformance.com/contact/

The trick up-pipe is what it says it is: an up-pipe designed by Harvey to give better/lower down spool and probably more torque.

Give Alyn a ring, you won't regret it.
