Default Wanted - New Engine & Gearbox

Well Finally I have my Scooby back! It has been fixed from being a little poorly and now painted and I am so excited to have it back on the road!!!

I have now decided that I want to do an engine conversion as I am a little frustrated with the lack of power on My 2.0l Automatic so would like some advice.

What would be a good engine to go for? And where is a trustworthy place for me to find one? (I live in Saltash) Would it be a huge project or could it be a case of 'out with the old, in with the new?'

I currently drive a 2001 Bugeye and I know once the engine and gearbox have been changed, I will officially be a happy Keldorf!! (for 5 minutes!)

Thanks in advance!!!

It's really not worth doing an engine conversion. By the time you've added all the extra parts needed to support the new lump, you may as well have purchased a new car.
