replacing sigma m30 alarm
alarm appears to be faulty,i.e siren going off and not switching off, changed the key battery and still not working,no red light etc.
so im going to replace it.i've been advised that i need the key/fob,alarm control box from the passenger side and the box from under the steering wheel.
was wondering if this is 100% correct as i can find a control box and key/fob but doesn't mention the box from under the steering wheel.any useful advise would be appreciated as the car is not running due to this issue.

you just need the main sigma unit, the control box under the steering wheel is for the transponder which is for the built in factory immobiliser and is not linked to the sigma.

sorry i should have made it clearer the sigma is a alarm and immobiliser, the car also has a immobiliser fitted too that works from the transponder in the key, the reason you cant start the car is because you cant turn off the sigma alarm immobiliser, if you turn it off or bypass it until you source a replacement it will run, and still be immobilised by the key. i had the exact same problem when i owned my 53 plate sti.

I've got an m30 brain and matching sigma fob and a separate sigma remote if you want you can have them for £50. Just need to program the one fob. Which is easy because you will have the one working one to do so.
