Not a wrx spoiler, it's a version 3 sti but it's standard on the these. Same as its not an sti interior, you brought your car from a muppet mate. Sti interior is red and black with sti written in the seats, you have a uk phase 1.5 car with the phase 2 interior, I'm guessing its got a phase 2 engine maybe?, does it have the yellow injectors? Coil pack looks on the right place for the older phase 1.5 engine, the early uk cars only have greY 330s not the later 440s fitted to the 99-00 cars

Guessing he just thought it was a facelift as kind of is at least in terms of the headlights, just not the bumper as well.

Incidently this is the same as my car, registered in 98 but is MY97
