Default strange issue

hi people I need some help with my 95 turbo
I took it out a few days ago and I opened it up and it felt like
it was holding back or wasn't giving full power in high revs,
anyway the issue has just got worse over the last few days and got a lot worse last night. I put my foot down from a junction and when I got to second I noticed it was holding back a lot and sent out a puff of smoke.
and now when I open it up the boost wont go over 1 bar were as before It was boosting at 1.5-1.6 bar also if I hold my foot in middle of rev range it seems to cough and splutter a bit. and also sounds like it has a boost leak somewere as you can hear the turbo spinning up and sounds like air is escaping somewere.i removed the whole intercooler today and pipe work and all seemed fine, also removed all the vacuum hoses and again all seemed fine I did remove the plugs the other day and gave them a quick clean with wire brush as there not that old. I also changed the bov as I thought it could be that causeing issues and also cleaned the boost solenoid
but still the same.any ideas as to what it could be as im at wits end with the car now.it is a my95 with a gt3076 turbo simtek ecu front mount, any idea as to what it could be any help would be much appiciated

Try to check the rubber pipe that connects turbo inlet to the large inlet pipe under the inlet manifold. It can split causing very poor running

To be fair it was brought brand new and only been on there about 500 miles
So I would be surprised if it was that but will check today
