Default My99 high cold idle and hesitation

I've a cold idle at 2000 rpm on my uk 1999 ppp'd uk turbo which seems unusually high to me, settles down fine after a few minutes but also get a bit of a hesitant throttle through warm up driving.
Also today I had the car hold back at 4-5000rpm? I have been driving very steadily at the mo as using the car for work, got 33mpg out of her:-) but definatly sometimes feels like she never really picks her feet up?

Been doing a search on mafs coil packs etc, might just buy a maf for peace of mind and to rule it out I reckon but anybody had this recently?

cheers Matt

Try giving the boost solenoid a clean and the idling valve . Might be worth cleaning the throttle body too

Would be there in a flash if you were closer:-)

Going to try the boost solenoid and maybe purchase a maf as looking to get the car mapped soon anyhow so it needs to be 100%

Just realised you have a ppp uk turbo matthewturb2000, by no means am i asking you to break the speed limit,(honest) but could you find a private road and do an in gear time for me say 60-100? or 30-70?
I had a prodrive uk turbo a few years back which really went well but for some reason the one i have now doesn't feel quite as quick?

cheers

I left it for a few seconds this morning and it ticked over at 1500 rpm then dropped slowly, it seems to shoot up to 2000rpm when I pull away straight after starting the engine and then slow down to drive under my archway, strange

I'm having exactly the same issue on mine. However I'm running mafless so can't be the MAF. It's driving me nuts! Sorry probably not a very useful post is it!

Sorted the car now, cleaned the boost solenoid and adjusted the actuator half a hole as I suspected the spring is a bit worn.... and now, well goes alot better, like my old one did, if the car isn't at least 250bho and running 1.2 bar then ill be very surprised!

Cold revs this morning were 1600rpm and a steady 800 when warm, but occasionally I get 2000rpm if I drive straight off after turning the key
