They aren't needed on a daily basis just for a half hour round trip at the weekends, just thought I would ask

Used to see rear facing seats in odd estates but I doubt they are very legal these days

Yeah doubtful of legality. On size though, you've obviously not seen an old Saab 95 estate!!!
