The time has come to give my wrx some power from standard, however I like the respectable burble from the exhaust which is not loud at all.

Has anyone achieved decent power (the region of 400) without making the car noisy. I don't want to be waking people up or having a nasty motorway drone?

 

I have a full decat exhaust on a wrx 3inch from the turbo with no resonators into a pro drive backbox and it is very quiet. Running 330+bhp.

 

Ohh thats good news, I also have a prodrive back box. But everything else is standard with cats in place.

I was worried that when the cats get removed it would be really loud.

 

Me too, but no. It's much quieter than my spec c with a decat 3inch miltek, that has 2 resonators too.

 

That pleases me even more because I know the Milteks are not the loudest of exhausts anyway

 

Can you get a 3" bore prodrive back box?
