Default Bugeye rust?

Hi,

I'm off to look at a few bugeyes this week, are they prone to rust on the rear arches like the classics?
I know the front subframes rust but that's easily fixable. Are there any other areas that bugeyes seem to rust in that I should check over?

Don't think the new age Rust on the arches like the classics av had 2 (blob eyes) neither had rust anywhere visible.

im pretty sure the rears on the bug will have plastic at the edges as the bodykit, the fronts will still rust thou

The heap I briefly owned not only had a terribly rusty front subframe, but it had also spread into the front engine crossmember where the anti-rollbar attached to it.

they still rust on the back arches, check the front subframe and also the rear subframe

yup, front subframe, when I got mine it needed a patch doing, not too bad though.

good sign on well kept car i think is to run your hand under the arch lip see if any mud falls down , i wash mine every other wash so always spotless behind the lip
