There is a yellow cable under each seat. Make sure they are properly connected as they can come loose.

Was it the yellow wire in the end? I started my car this morning and noticed that the airbag light stayed on, would be nice if it's an easy fix.

If you don't find the problem there is a way of reading the codes from under the dash it's on YouTube

Common problem, my blobeye usually does it after my wife has driven the car and moved the seat forward A quick wiggle of the wires sorts it out.

Only works on a classic although I doubt if it will register anyway, I have an OBD reader and even with the light on it shows no code

Well its hasn't come on for ages so perhaps the 'Wire wiggle' did the job.
