decat/remap

This has prob been covered a million times but struggling to find a definitive answer.
Can you run a full decat exhaust without a remap or will the fuelling be all over the place.

Im pretty sure you would get the best out of it with a remap mate

I drove my for 18 months before remap. I saw benefits, no real change in in fuel.

However.... didn't see the real benefits until it was mapped.

(V4 STi Classic by the way)

Thanks. Prob should have worded it differently. Will defo be getting a remap but not for a couple of months.
just not sure whether to put the exhaust on now or just before the map.
trouble is I'm very impatient

I've never worked with the classic before but the newage will over boost and have a problem controlling the boost if you decat the exhaust without remapping.
