Magnetic sump plug
Looking at getting one and was looking on ebay and was just woundering are there ones to avoid.
Was looking at one of these

I has this one or very similar. Had it a few years and no issues. Working well, more than happy, normally find a few small bits/paste stuck to it. So it's doing its job

Lots of people on here slate them saying everything in the engine is alloy & not magnetic, but mine caught lots of a magnetic paste like material after an engine rebuild. Cams bores rings etc are all magnetic so worth using one in my opinion, helps keep your oil clear of small particles & may give an early warning of a potential problem.
