Default Magnetic sump plug

Looking at getting one and was looking on ebay and was just woundering are there ones to avoid.
Was looking at one of these

I has this one or very similar. Had it a few years and no issues. Working well, more than happy, normally find a few small bits/paste stuck to it. So it's doing its job

I bought one a few years back but never fitted it. Would like to here peoples opinions too.

Motorsport developments do a very good one, very strong magnets on them

Lots of people on here slate them saying everything in the engine is alloy & not magnetic, but mine caught lots of a magnetic paste like material after an engine rebuild. Cams bores rings etc are all magnetic so worth using one in my opinion, helps keep your oil clear of small particles & may give an early warning of a potential problem.

im pretty sure i have the same one but black does the job, some magnetic sump plugs come free with oil filters they do their job

Im wanting one to see if it picks anything up and notice different prices but all do the samething. Will look at motorsport development aswell
