Hose on manifold
My mate has a 1997 uk turbo and to the right of the coil pack there should be a hose on the manifold his is missing and it's making a hissing sound, also if you put your finger over the end the car cuts outs.
Just wanted to know where it's ment to go to?

Not the clearest of pictures really but it's the one to the right of the coil pack.

Looks like the hose which goes to the recirculation valve or dump valve. The idle valve has probably fully shut in an attempt to stabilise the idle so when you block the hose it cuts the engine. So reconnect as it should be. Disconnect battery for a couple of hours then try starting it. You may need to clean the idle valve.
