For the second time in a year I have a leak in oil cooler hoses in my STI. Hoses are routed from the oil filter adapter underneath the headers - apparently the heat is too high and the pipes simply begin to crack and leak after some time!!! Am I keep buing some cheap pipes or ... is it just bad luck? Is there other way to route those hoses to the front mounted oil cooler? How to shield them from the heat?

you can get fire sleeve in different sizes, its a fibreglass tube with rubber covering.

its quite expensive tho but does the job. i got mine from pirtek.

merlin motorsport also sell it, but i dont know what size you want. this is the biggest on their website
