turbo2000 in limp mode after injector change
Hi all,
changed the injectors from the standard grey ones to the better yellow ones and car has been in limp mode (check engine) ever since, and wont rev past 3500k and pops and bangs. Any ideas how to get it back to normal without changing them back.
It has the 8S ECU
cheers

It does have a bigger turbo fitted and decatted but since fitting the cat back on for the MOT and not having the time to change it it runs badly and uses more fuel, could it have been remapped for decat and how much would a remap be just for the injectors as there are some mobile mappers out there, are they any good ?

Different size injectors deliver different quantities of fuel so your fueling will be totally screwed up. As TT says get a remap before you wreck your engine. You will need a full remap unless you know who did it before if it ever been done.

You asked for help here:
A remap will sort out your running issues and you can then safely drive your car without removing the new parts.
If you don't like the answer it's not our fault mate.

Like i said it had the cat refitted for its MOT but i dont get time to change it back as its my daily driver, I know it will need remapping and i did actually ask if mobile mappers are any good as there aren't many round my way (if any) and i dont want to drive it 100's miles just to do it

Right ok, I know different injectors deliver different rates of fuel, i'm not used to scoobies, my other cars had learning ECU's and would learn the rate of the injector (within reason of course) but these ECU's dont, thats what i didnt know, so how much would i be looking at for a full remap, dont need any massive gains or crazy torque increases as its just a daily driver with a bit of kick behind it ?

A full first time remap with an EcuTek licence fee can cost anything up to £600.
It depends what has already been done and what is to do.
Best bet is to give a mapper a call and talk it over.

Having a decat won't always bring up the eml light so it might not even have been remapped
Plenty sellers out there that tell porkies to bump up the price
You can see if the Ecuador has a daughter board fitted or not, it's in the footwell
Not sure why year your car is though as it might not need a daughter board
