Default Fmic fitting help

Hello I recently bought a 04 wrx and it came with brand new fmic waiting to be fitted.. It has no name on it but looks of decent quality maybe a japspeed or simular .. Anyway my question about fitting it is will it fit using my oem airbox ? I don't really want to run a cone filter.. My car is booked in for 2 weeks to have a turbo and injectors fitted and remapped.. Any help or even pictures of a fmic fitted to a new age would help... I have searched lots on here and google but can only find threads comparing fmic not fitting problems..

you will lose your airbox as the pipework goes through the hole in the wing were the airbox is located so you will need to run a con filter.

the other issue you will have is you need to cut out the rear of the front bumper to fit it in.

its not a job to attempt if you have no spanner skills really

Fitting the cold side pipework means removing the OEM airbox and related parts so an alternative filter (under bonnet or in the wing) is inevitable. Have a search for 'engine bay pics' to see where it all fits, there are loads on Snet. Good luck!
