Default fitted wideband...hows these numbers?

hi all

after some deliberation i plumped for the new innovate MTX wideband kit which allows for a simulated narrowband output to keep the ecu happy and save me pulling out the downpipe to weld in a new boss. Anyways its calibrated and in. When warmed up, on idle i get 12.9=/- .4 and on cruise its around 14.7, usually 13.9 - 14.9 then on WOT its 10.3 - 11. seems very rich to me esp on idle. the ecu is a standand 75 (v4STI) with HKS evc4 boost controller, vf28 turbo, 440s, pretty much a standard v4 sti engine bar the turbo, vf28 vs vf24 which are pretty much the same. how do these numbers sound? full boost was set at 1.2 and scramble at 1.4 but doesnt seem to go higher than 1.1bar. possible boost leak? if so would this cause it to run rich on idle?

cheers

rich

Idle and cruise should be roughly the same 14.5/14.7ish and around low 11's on full boost, Is what I see from mine.

idle should be close to 14.8, but 14.5 to 15 would not be bad. on full boost mine goes down to 10.

ok so what would cause it to have such a rich idle? it does sometimes hunt a little, +/- 100 rpm at most.

Before looking at the mapping, make sure your air filter is very clean and efficient.

The car hasnt been mapped yet as no major mods done really since i transplanted the sti v4 engine, maf and ecu(75) from the donor car. Regarding the airfilter, its the standard airbox with a panel filter. Pipercross i think but i havent looked at it for a while to be honest. Ill nip out and check later.

Checked the airfilter and its fine, even started it up with the airbox open a bit and didnt change a thing. Could it be a possibility that the Standard FPR is being overpowered by the fuel pump? got a electric fuel pressure gauge fitted from when i had an adjustable fpr on the last engine and its showing just over 40psi on tickover...

Nothing done regarding timing as far as i know on the engine. What you got in mind? I fiddled with the iacv valve thingy earlier and got the afr up to 14.3 - 14.9 but with a slightly higher tickover, 900-1000 rpm. Not sure if im happy with that though. Whats better a rich idle at 800ish rpm or stoich at 1000?
