I know it should be in drivetrain but didn't think many people look in there

Anyway my gearbox has become really noisy. It makes a sort of chugging sound in all gears apart from reverse.

Anyone know the code for a MY2000 Impreza (classic), and would possibly need someone to fit it in the Hertfordshire area.

Had a API rebuild a couple of years ago on the engine and its only done about 20K on that so don't really want to get rid. Was thinking of getting a Hawk STI though so might just sell as is.

How much do you think it's worth

You can see the code of your gearbox if look down under the intercooler it's written on the side. You can fit many different gearboxes to these cars if you want to fit a matching diff. Newage wrx boxes are slighty Stronger. You you could fit a sti box if you want to change the gearing. As too worth, with a broken box? Looks fairly clean and unchav'ed which is a good start. Without all the details it's hard to judge but anywhere between £1.5-2.5k I would price if at depending on how many was in your area and who is on the market for a 13year old gas guzzler

We have a late model 2004 box available right now that was rebuilt [ not by us ] within the last year. It'll fit straight in, no messing. Cost of the box is £500.00 + VAT [ £600.00 inc ] and a limited warranty [ as I said we didn't build it ] and we could fit while-u-wait if you wish. Fitting is £220,00 + VAT [ £248.00 inc ]
