Default What exhaust systems do you have??

As the title says! I currently have a Blitz Nur Spec system with an unknown de-cat downpipe, its all 3" from the turbo back.

I've owned the car 9 days and I'm honestly fed up with how loud it is. I'm wondering what systems you all have so i can maybe pick up something that still gives the boxer noise and performance but without the serious loudness of the Blitz system. Any suggestions?

Thanks mate, never thought of that! Had a look on eBay, there's a couple of genuine blitz ones for around £50/£60. That seem about right? One is listed as fitting an evo but surely the Nur Spec back box is the same outlet across the range?

Problem with a bung is it strangles the exhaust & loses power. I run RCM decat downpipe & headers with HS up pipe & Cobra cat back track friendly system & it sounds great without being too loud.

Fit a prodrive sports cat, then its MOT legal and will probably take the harshness off the sound.

I've got a Revolution stainless 3" system, it's trackday friendly backbox so not too loud but does give you a nice burble. Problem is it was too quiet for me so I've ended up sliding a 3" bit of stainless pipe halfway into the back box and bolting it in to give me more noise!

Sounds like we need to swap exhausts

I modified my one to stop it from rattling, personally i would try bung then think about changing exhaust

I've ordered the baffle from eBay, hopefully it arrives soon. I'll post my results as soon as I get it! If I don't like it there may be an exhaust system for sale soon

how do u find the blitz with the decat? Does it sound raspy in anyway or does it sound well? Ive got a blitz nur spec cat back on my 04 blob sti and im stuck between getting a decat downpipe or sports cat... Id get a decat if i knew it wasnt going to rasp and sound horrible?

It doesn't sound raspy at all, sounds excellent but just too loud for long periods of use in my opinion. You even get the odd pop/bang on deceleration.

Bearing in mind I had a Yamaha R1 with a full titanium race system on I still find the Nur Spec loud. Honestly to save any trouble/regret I'd go for the sports cat instead of the de-cat down pipe.

I've never heard my car from behind so I don't know if there's any turbo noise from the rear but I can certainly hear turbo spool from the driver seat, lots of it
