Default v3 type r fuel surge at high rpm - i think :/

hello,

I have had a little issue with my impreza type r, sometimes, not all the time, the car sort of shudders a bit at the top of the rev range, when it does this the CEL flashes, the flashes seem to go with the shudders/loss of power.

I have read that this can be fuel surge meaning the pump cant suck up enough fuel that the car is needing (if that makes sense lol) and its something to do with the nozzle of the fuel pump and its quite an easy fix??

anyone know anything about this?

If the CEL has illuminated then an error code has been stored and you need to read the error code.

No it wont and if the cell is flashing don't keep doing it till you get the car checked over by your nearest Apexi mapper.

What knock readings are you getting on the hand controller screen?

Lol, just seen your other thread, I think you better save your money for an engine rebuild, driving it like that when you obviously have a problem.

Knock reading is fine. Dont go over about 14. Just spoken to the very helpful previous owner (saw the thread and contacted me ) and he said its the injector duty. I have seen this go to mid 90s so must be this. Does anyone know how to cure this.

As to the engine rebuild, I was only giving it a blast after I had the oil pressure checked and I thought there was no problem. Wouldnt put my foot down knowing there was an issue that could be made worse
