Default Oil light flickering

Finally taxed and insured my classic after getting it running took it out today about 5 mile on my way back and my oil lights flickering on and off
It's had a full service and lad I brought it off had put a new oil pump on .does it sound like the sensor faulty or engine dead ?

Thanks mark

get an oil pressure gauge otherwise your just guessing.
if the engine is at the point where the oil light is coming on its too late.

NO!

Just don't rev it, get a gauge on it asap.
